The Okavango River is born in Angola, and crosses the Caprivi strip, in Namibia, to end up overflowing and creating an extensive flooded plain, a delta, unable to overcome the Kalahari desert. Therefore, it is one of the few rivers that do not flow into the sea.
Within the Namib desert in Namibia, there is the Sossusvlei area. This area is characterized by high sand dunes of intense pink and orange, which are among the highest dunes in the world. We will climb the tallest, nicknamed by the locals as the Big Daddy.
In Northwestern Namibia, near the oldest desert on the planet, in the Hoanib Valley, one of the very few Desert Elephant populations can be found. Survival is very difficult in this place as they must migrate hundreds of kilometers and even dig the ground in search of water.
