Why choose to go to Egypt?

Between East and West, between the new and the old, Egypt is a mixture of history and cultures 5,000 years old.

With 1/3 of the world’s antiquities, Egypt has impressive monuments from the Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Coptic and Islamic periods.

You will undoubtedly be stunned by such wonders. To this we must add: its people and customs.

1

Arrival Day

Upon arriving at the airport of Cairo, a person will be waiting for us and will help us to process the visa to leave the airport. Later we will be transferred by private car to the selected hotel. We will then have some free time.
2

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Then we would go out with a local private guide (Egyptologist) to visit Memphis (ancient capital of Egypt), Sakkara, where we will see the famous pyramid Staggered by King Zoser and the incomparable Pyramids of Cheops, Kefren and Micerinos, built more than 4,500 years ago and their protector, the Sphinx. At noon we will taste a representation of the local food watching the pyramids. If you were passionate about museums, we recommend you visit the Egyptian Museum for which you would need one more night in Cairo. At night you can enjoy a show of music and lights on the pyramids. We recommend it.
3

Day 3

We will get up very early and will be taken, privately, to the airport to take a flight to Luxor. There we will embark on a 5-day and 4-night cruise on the Nile River. We will start from Lower Egypt towards the upper egypt (south). Normally on its return, the boat makes the 3-night cruise for those who want to do it in less time and with some less stops. The choice of the boat is the most important. We have traveled in several and we can advise you which is the one that best suits your traveler profile. We will check in and unpack our luggage in our cabin, which will be our house for the next 5 days. Upon arrival we will see the < strong>Luxor Temple and the Avenue of the Sphinxes After eating on the ship, we will visit on the east side of Luxor, the Karnak Temple by the hand of an Egyptologist guide who will accompany us throughout the whole cruise. For us, this temple is the highlight of the trip. Back to the ship, we will arrive in time to have tea in one of its lounges. At night, while we have dinner, we will enjoy a Belly Dancing Show.
4

Day 4

After a delicious buffet breakfast, we will visit the West Side of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens with its famous tombs in which the one of Tutankhamun and Ramses II and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. For the ancient Egyptians, in the east of the Nile, where the sun rises, there is the life and that is where they build the temples of worship on the Eastern side and all the funerary monuments are built on the Western side, where the sun hides, death. We will continue our journey upriver and we will stop to see the famous and imposing Colossi of Memmon. Let’s eat while the ship continues on its way to Esna. We will have time to take a bath in the indoor pool watching the bucolic landscape of the Nile River.
5

Day 5

The next day our Egyptologist guide will take us to the Temple Greco-Roman of Khnum in Esna. We will continue our trip to Edu. In the afternoon we will explore the extraordinary Temple from Horus. Tonight we are waiting for the “Egyptian Night” party where we will dress as authentic Egyptians while enjoying a delicious dinner.
6

Day 6

After breakfast we will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Upon returning to the ship, he will continue his route to Aswan. After lunch, a small motorboat will take us to the Agilika Island, in the middle of the Nile, where the majestic Philae Temple is located, then we will visit a granite quarry, where the ancient Egyptians created their famous monoliths (hence the name) called obelisks. There we will see the famous unfinished obelisk. We will also have the opportunity to navigate in a felucca, the Egyptian sailing ship type, around Elephantine Island, in the front of Aswan. After dinner, there will be a farewell party.
7

Day 7

After breakfast we will check out from the ship. We will disembark and be transfered by private car to Aswan airport to take a round trip flight for a guided tour to Abu Simbel. The guide will wait for us at the entrance of the Abu Simbel site. Each journey takes about 40 minutes. At the end, they will take us back to the airport back to Aswan. And from there on a private transfer will take us to the selected hotel. We particularly recommend the Sofitel Old Cataract and with a room overlooking the Nile. There is a possibility that the plane stops in Aswan but continues to Cairo and in this way it would not be necessary to spend the night in Aswan but we believe that this hotel is worth enjoying and take some time for relaxing.
8

Day 8

At the set time, they will take us privately to the airport to take a flight to Cairo. The journey takes about 1h 20. They will pick us up and transfer to the hotel. We recommend choosing a hotel near the international airport so that the next day we don´t have to get up too early to leave. Be careful because the traffic in Cairo is very high and it might require a lot of time.
9

Departure

At the scheduled time they will take us privately to the airport to take a flight back home.

Combine with a trip to Jordan to discover Petra
