Ranthambhore National Park, with almost 400km2, is one of the largest parks in India. Located in the North, between Agra and Jaipur, and opened in 1980, it is one of the most important reserves of the so-called Tiger Project started in 1973.

In the past, Ranthambhore was one of the private hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Its dry deciduous forest which covers most of the park except for more lush vegetation around the many small lakes and ponds, makes it much easier to visualize tigers in their wild state.

Deer, bears and leopards are some of the other animals that we can see in our safari.

Other interesting parks where to see tigers are: Sariska National Park and Panna National Park.

Day 1. Departure Day

Upon arriving at Jaipur airport, a private jeep will be waiting for us. Depending on the time of arrival, we will spend the night in a hotel and even stay a couple of nights since Jaipur is well worth it. There are many places to see and it is one of the most beautiful cities in northern India. We recommend to stay in the Rambagh Palace hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. The next day, early, we would leave for the Ranthambhore área. It is a journey of about 160km and about 4 hours.

On the way we will visit rural villages where we will appreciate the way of living of its inhabitants. Upon arriving at the chosen hotel, we will eat and leave at 2:00 pm for our first private safari together with our private guide and our driver. The Park is located about 12 km from Sawai Madhopur. There are two safari schedules allowed by the rangers who control the park entrance: From 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The park closes at noon so you cannot do a continuous safari throughout the day.

Around 4 p.m. we will stop to make a break in a place chosen by our guides and they will delight us with a snack.

At the end of the safari we will be returned to the hotel. We will be on time to enjoy the sunset, have a massage and have dinner by the fire.

Day 3

We will get up very early, have coffee, and we will leave to enjoy our second safari. We recommend to wear warm clothes since the mornings are very cold and when going in a open jeep, the wind will lower our thermal perception. In the middle of the safari, our driver will choose a particularly magical place and will delight us with some small snacks and hot tea or coffee as breakfast, while we enjoy the views of the sunrise. Afterwards we will return to our camp for lunch. In the afternoon, at 2pm, we will leave our camp, again, towards the entrance of the National Park. Now it is our third safari. We hope that the elusive tiger decides to cross our path. Our expert local guide and our driver will make every effort to help us in this exciting adventure, where the only thing that is not guaranteed … is to see them! In the middle of the safari, we will stop again and enjoy a snack in another fascinating place chosen.

Day 4. Return

After breakfast we will depart from the camp or the hotel chosen to continue our trip. Either back home or to connect with another adventure. Enjoy our adventure:
